A hectic Monday morning and with so much to get done, and with so little time, you are looking for that “punch” in the arm to get you started. The early morning café latte did very little to wake you up, and Gloria Estefan’s Conga did not sink in to you during the rush hour traffic. You only have a few minutes till your next meeting/presentation… What you going to do?
There is a plethora of motivational videos deluging the internet, yet they often are poorly presented or take a lot of time to get to the point. While I agree that great accomplishments take time, great videos necessarily do not have to be the same. Internet browsers today are much like kindergarteners with short attention spans and in a mad rush to “click” through content. This video was done in an aim to curtail a previous video I did titled How to Start a Business: FIRST! Build Your Entrepreneur Motivation MOJO to SUCCEED.
Why?
Through youtube® analytics I found out that the above video was generating a lot of interest and engagement but over 30% of the viewers never watched it beyond the third minute (the video is 5 minutes in length). So I got thinking as to what may have been the cause, and the reason was obvious… the new adage of video marketing: brevity is gold.
