Fantasy AI Music Video Sri Lanka – This is HOW we did it!
If you an aspiring musician or an artist looking to create an AI music video Sri Lanka, then this is for you! The visual Cube is a Sri Lankan based video production/editing/marketing agency. We have created many videos using AI, but the pinnacle of them all (the crown jewel) is the enchanting music video we created for Italian artist Francesca Fini.
Ghost in the Forest is an enchanting music video that blends mythology and technology into a poetic exploration of humanity’s deep yet forgotten bond with the spirit of Nature. Entirely produced with cutting-edge AI tools for imagery, animation, and sound design, the video is a groundbreaking example of how artificial intelligence can revolutionize contemporary storytelling, pushing the boundaries of visual and auditory art.
The Scope – The Project
The job at hand for us was to create an avant-garde approach to a world that is both dreamlike and hyper-realistic. A space where imagination meets the organic beauty of the natural world. It all started as a wild idea from Francesca: what if we could use artificial intelligence to bring a fantasy world to life, synchronized with music that told its own emotional arc? The result was a project that pushed our artistic boundaries and opened new doors for future digital storytelling. Here’s how we brought our client’s vision to life.
1. The Spark: Backgrounds
The client gave us a “detailed” story board and provided us her footage “singing”. We began with a simple question: What would a fantasy realm look and feel like if it was born from a song? We imagined a world of glowing forests, mythical creatures, enchanted ruins, and surreal dreamscapes — all moving in harmony with the music. Instead of “generating” these landscapes with AI, we found stock video footage from vecteezy that matched what the client had in mind.
2. The Dive: Colors
The client (being an artist herself) had this figured out from top to bottom. In fact she had already done a lot of heavy lifting as she had the artwork, and costumes/wardrobes ready to go.
We used AI-assisted composition tools like AIVA and Amper to sketch the first drafts of each artwork. This allowed us to focus more on creative direction.
3. The Maze: Storyboarding with AI
With the backgrounds and colors finalized, we shifted our focus to visuals. This phase involved using text-to-image AI tools like Midjourney and DALL·E to generate concept art based on our story and themes. We wrote detailed prompts — such as “moonlit forest with floating lanterns and ancient ruins, cinematic lighting, 4K” — and iterated until the generated images matched our vision.
We created a rough storyboard using these stills, mapping each scene to a corresponding part of the music. For example, during the intro, we imagined a fog-covered pine forest with glowing mushrooms. When the tempo picked up, we transitioned to a dramatic flight over a crystalline canyon guarded by a monolithic sculpture. The AI tools gave us hundreds of variations to work with, allowing our imagination to stretch far beyond traditional limitations.
4. The Story: Photorealism
Turning static images into video required another layer of AI magic. We used tools like Runway ML and EbSynth to animate our generated scenes. Some clips were indeed client provided footage that we zoomed in (creating the horns on Francesca), while others were more complex. In certain scenes, we used motion interpolation to morph between AI-generated frames, giving the illusion of real-time animation.
To create a fluid motion between scenes, we added particle effects, light flares, and animated transitions using Adobe After Effects. For instance, every time a beat dropped, we triggered a visual transformation — the landscape changed color, a portal opened, or the camera zoomed through a celestial gate.
5. Creating the “ghost”
Creating the forest ghost, and bringing the underlying effects, we used AI portrait generator Artbreeder. We developed a central figure: a horned ghost of a woman (resembling a fairy) whose horns gave way as she changed as the journey progressed. To animate facial features, we used tools like D-ID and DeepMotion, which allowed us to create lifelike motion from still portraits.
We didn’t include dialogue, choosing instead to let the music and visuals tell the story. However, we gave the character a clear emotional progression — curiosity, awe, fear, and ultimately peace — which viewers could interpret in their own way.
5. The Final Frontier
The final phase was about bringing all the components together. We edited the video in Adobe Premiere Pro, layering scenes to ensure smooth pacing and emotional flow. We also added subtle sound effects: the wind through trees, the crackle of magical energy, distant roars, and whispers — all mixed beneath the music to enhance immersion.
We did multiple test runs, gathering feedback from friends and online collaborators. Small tweaks — like adjusting brightness, slowing down certain transitions, or boosting a particular harmony — made big differences in the overall experience.
Conclusion
Some people asked if it was made entirely by AI. Our answer? Not exactly. AI was a powerful tool, but it was the human touch — the emotional story, the precise editing, the curated prompts — that gave the project heart. I know what most of you want to know at this point: The Budget. Although we agreed to create this video for US$2500, we had to put in triple the effort/time/energy we first imagined. The client was gracious enough to make it a flat US$3000 at the end.
Creating a fantasy AI music video was a unique fusion of art and technology. It taught us how to collaborate with machines, not just to speed up the creative process, but to amplify our imagination. The final product wasn’t just a video — it was a journey, both for us as creators and for our wonderful and patient client. As AI tools continue to evolve, we’re excited to explore even more ambitious storytelling possibilities in the future.
