Five Key Ways to Boost Video ROI in 2017
1. Video Title and Video Description
Doing a great video is of no use if your online audience cannot find it. That is why your video title needs to be carefully researched. The best and surest way is to use the autocomplete suggestion drop-down menu on youtube. This feature lets searchers quickly find the videos they are looking for, BUT is an even greater tool when looking for trending titles for video owners. As you type in the keywords of your title, a list of suggested title options will appear.
E.G: If your video is about plumbing, enter the keyword “plumbing” and the autocomplete will suggest you trending titles for your video that contain the keyword “plumbing” (below)
E.G: If you are providing plumbing services and your main keyword is “plumbing services” make sure to include the city where you provide your services from. So your keyword phrase should be “plumbing services Chicago” (if you provide your services in or around the city of Chicago).
Video engagement (likes, shares, comments) are a great source for your videos to rank higher on searches. The same is true to ranking your website(s) when you share your videos on blogs. The more engagement the more it tells Google (or other search engines) that your videos if gaining attention. Once your video audience engages your videos with comments, DO NOT ignore them. Take the time to thank them or answer any questions. When you do leave a response remember to end your response with a question, so that they will have to answer it back. This way a single comment will garner 2-3 additional comments – meaning more engagement (higher Google, Youtube ranking).
3. Landing Pages
First impressions are important. The BEST way to make a GREAT first impression on your website is to include videos on landing pages. Not only are videos entertaining for the browser it also makes them spending more time on your website when watching videos.
(1) Your home page MUST feature a video which explains what you do.
(2) Introducing your audience to the executive team lets them know how well you do what you do.
(3) A video testimonial page lets your viewers know how well those who received your products/services like doing business with you.

5. Social Media
We all agree that is hard to ignore a facebook video or a tweet that include a video. Your business cannot afford to rely on text based social media campaigns to ignite a conversation about your business. Image based social media posts garner more attention and engagement than text based posts – this is a fact. More brands are now discovering the ROI on video posts that bring in higher engagement. Almost all social media platforms are now enabling video. This alone attest to the fact that video will dominate social media, and the fact that you cannot ignore the power of video any longer.
